The Professional Stop Smoking Difference
What you can expect from a treatment session at Professional Stop Smoking Hypnotherapy: Time I allocate 2 hours for a stop smoking session. This allows me time to find out about you – why you used to smoke, why you wish to stop smoking and any concerns you may have. Tailor Made Your session will be unique to you. I don’t have a one size fits all approach but rather adapt what I do according to your needs and the information you have given me. |

Clear Understanding Many hypnotherapists treat smoking as a habit. It isn’t. It’s an addiction and it’s important to know how to treat addiction to be of genuine help. (Would so many people really find it so difficult simply to change a habit?) It’s also important that a therapist should understand the differences between physical addiction, which causes withdrawal, and dependence (also known as psychological addiction) which causes craving.
Explanation In addition to the hypnosis I explain everything you need to know to make the change as easy and as comfortable as possible and teach you methods you can use in your daily life to accomplish this.
Keep Slim Where appropriate I can offer support and advice to help you make sure that you don’t put on weight when you stop smoking.
No Gimmicks I don’t offer a ‘guarantee’ because it’s not in my, or anyone else’s, power to make you stop smoking. I simply provide a professional service at a fair price.
No Psychobabble – I won’t hide behind jargon, talk make belief nonsense or ask you to do anything weird. All my practice is ‘evidence based’ – that which has been found to be effective in the real world.
Ongoing Assistance For most clients one session of treatment is sufficient for their needs but I do offer further support for those who desire it.
